FA Cup Betting Offers, Enhanced Odds, Tips and Free Bets – 2017-18 Season

Some people say the Emirates FA Cup has lost its gloss, others believe the magic is still alive and kicking. Whatever people think, the FA Cup final remains a spectacle, which all clubs want to win.

Last season, Arsene Wenger’s Arsenal lifted the crown, becoming the record FA Cup winners in the process. The Gunners, who won their 13th FA Cup, sealed their third in four years. Although they were the underdogs against Antonio Conte’s Chelsea, who had just won the Premier League title, Wenger’s boys were superb, fully deserving their 2-1 win.

FA Cup 2017-18 Betting Tips

This season, the north London outfit are available at the very tempting price of 10/1 (BetVictor). With several other top clubs spending big in the summer, Arsenal will once again have their work cut out in the title race. Therefore, the FA Cup, along with the UEFA Europa League, could take priority. At 10/1, the FA Cup specialists could be a good choice to retain their trophy.

In terms of who are the favourites, Chelsea and Manchester City are locked level at 6/1. Starting with the PL champions; despite winning the title last year, Conte and co. will have been disappointed not to have added an eighth FA Cup to their trophy cabinet, and their first since 2012. For one reason or another, they did not turn up on the day at Wembley. Number one priority for the Blues will be the Premier League but, like they proved last year, they could still be up for the cup.

As for Manchester City, they were knocked out at the semi-final stage by Arsenal last term. However, they seemed to grow stronger and stronger as the tournament gathered pace, becoming most people’s favourites to lift the trophy. Despite dominating for large parts against the Gunners at Wembley, City come up short in the end. This season has to be a big one for Pep, so winning the FA Cup could be high on their to-do list.

The 2016 winners, Manchester United, will be another side looking to add this year’s FA Cup to the trophy cabinet. United were nowhere near good enough to mount a title challenge last year, but they did not disappoint in the cups. In his first season in charge, Jose Mourinho inspired the Red Devils to the FA Community Shied, the EFL Cup and the Europa League. The 12-time FA Cup winners are priced at 7/1 (Betfred) to win this season’s edition.

We also expect the likes of Tottenham Hotspur, Liverpool and Everton to progress to the latter stages. Spurs and Liverpool are no strangers to FA Cup glory, whilst Everton have spent big and wisely and could be a force this season.

However, after going so close last season, Conte will be looking to add the FA Cup to his honours list this time around, regardless of how things are going in the Premier League. At 6/1 (Bet365), we think that’s too good a price to turn down for the Blues to come out on top in the 2017-18 FA Cup.
