Back Altior to win the Champion Chase at Enhanced Odds of 50/1 , plus other offers – Wednesday 14th March 2018
The Queen Mother Champion Chase is one of the real highlights of the Cheltenham Festival, and the 2018 renewal promises to be one of the good ones. It promises a showdown of magnificent proportions between two of the sport’s top chasers: Altior and Douvan.
It is Nicky Henderson’s eight year old Altior whom we focus on here. We bring you the best enhanced odds and money back offers on last year’s Arkle winner to win the 2018 Champion Chase. Altior is the 11/10 favourite at the time of writing ahead of the 11/4 shot Douvan (prices subject to change).
Note that all Cheltenham Festival Offers and Bonuses have a number of terms and conditions that must be adhered to. Please ensure you read and understand the full T&Cs at the betting site in question and please Gamble Responsibly.

Betfair are offering new customers a vidy tidy offer: back Altior at 30/1 to win the Champion Chase on Wednesday 14th March 2018.

CORAL – Money Back as a Free Bet if Your Horse Falls
While, all things being equal, we think Altior will have the edge in this race, occasionally in National Hunt racing, disaster strikes and your horse falls. If you are fearful of such an event here, Coral’s fallers insurance offer could be worth considering.

Queen Mother Champion Chase 2018 – Altior vs Douvan
Altior is a true great of the racing game. With 13 victories from 15 races, his only two defeats came in National Hunt Flat races back in 2015. Since then he has conquered all before him. Notable race wins include: the Supreme Novices’ Hurdle by seven lengths from Min; the Arkle last year by six legnths from Cloudy Dream; and the Celebration Chase at Sandown by eight lengths from Special Tiara. In many pundits’ eyes, Altior will win this one comfortably.
For some, though, there is one possible runner that might upset the apple cart: Douvan.
The Willie Mullins-trained eight year old has a similar record overall (14 wins from 16), including a seven length triumph in the Arkle in 2016 and a decent win in the Supreme Novices’ the year before. But he failed badly in last year’s Champion Chase, coming only seventh. His trainer later revealed he was well below par health-wise.
Indeed, he hasn’t run since then, and though Mullins and jockey Ruby Walsh say they’ve been happy with him in training, without a run out since last year, we simply have to suggest this is Altior’s race for the taking.
