Will Golden Horn Place in the Derby on Saturday 6th June?
Golden Horn is trained by the highly experienced and extremely successful John Gosden, and will be ridden by the inimitable Frankie Dettori. This is a combination that is almost certain to bear fruit given that the colt has won all three of his runs to date including the Group 2 Dante Stakes at York last time out.
In the Dante, Golden Horn beat stablemate – and second favourite for the Derby – Jack Hobbs by almost three lengths, and looked as though he had more in the tank. Dettori – who was in the saddle on Jack Hobbs that day – was so impressed with Golden Horn that he’s switched allegiances for the big race at Epsom on Saturday, which certainly speaks volumes.
Add to that the fact that the other leading contenders for the fourth Classic of the flat racing season – namely Elm Park and Giovanni Canaletto – have both failed to win this season, and we’re confident our horse will win on Saturday, let alone finish in the top three.
But to get offered odds of 5/1 for this fine horse to finish in the places looks like an absolute steal to us, and we would be grabbing it with both hands (if we didn’t already have betting accounts with Coral, that is… damn!). But we’re so confident Golden Horn will win that we’ve backed him at the standard odds of 7/4 (and they are getting shorter all the time!).
So if you haven’t already got a betting account with Coral, take advantage of this fine offer and make a nice cash profit of £50 at Golden Horn lives up to expectations in the Derby at Epsom on Saturday.
