Betfair Cheltenham Treble Offer: Back Min, Douvan and Annie Power to win at 25/1 on Day One at the Festival – Tuesday 15th March 2016
Betfair have nailed their colours to the mast with this massive enhanced treble offer on day one of the Cheltenham Festival: they are taking on three of the hottest favourites of the week, all hailing from the great Willie Mullins’ stable and all will have the legendary jockey Ruby Walsh in the saddle.
Betfair are offering new customers the chance to grab odds of 25/1 on Min, Douvan and Annie Power winning in their respective races, the Supreme Novices’ Hurdle, the Arkle and the Champion Hurdle.
It could be a VERY costly day for the bookies if these three favourites do the business, and if you want a piece of the enhanced odds action then take advantage to get a potential £250 in free bets from you £10 qualifying bet!
Betfair Cheltenham Festival 25/1 Treble Offer
As mentioned, Min, Douvan and Annie Power are all favourites in their races. Min, who has won his last two races by very healthy margins and looks every bit a star in the making. Priced around the 5/2 mark compared to the 4/1 on offer for the next in line in the betting, Altior, Min stands a great chance of getting Mullins – and your treble! – off to a winning start.
The next race, the Arkle, sees the shortest price favourite of the whole Festival in the form of Douvan. The Mullins ace is priced at just 2/5 to win this seven-horse race, with his nearest challenger, Vaniteux, out at 8/1. Douvan failed to win his very first race back in May 2014, but have triumphed in each of his eight runs since, the last four of which he won by margins of at least seven lengths including two Grade 1 novices’ chases. In short, as much of a dead cert as you will find at the 2016 Festival.
Annie Power, in the Champion Hurdle, is perhaps the one who could be seen as the least likely of the three to win. She was supplemented into the race after Mullins’ star Faugheen was forced out with injury, and then his understudy Arctic Fire also has to be withdrawn. Annie Power would have won the Mares’ Hurdle by a fair margin last year had she not fallen at the last, and Ruby Walsh will want to make amends for that at this year’s Festival.
As Champion Hurdles go, it’s not a particularly strong field this year, and Annie Power is the worthy 5/2 favourite with The New One the next in the betting at 6s. It will be no gimme for the Mullins wonder mare, but we think she can get the victory that will bring home our tasty 25/1 treble.
