Alternative Groves v Di Luisa Betting Offers
Given that this is looking like being such a one-sided fight, not many bookies are really going after it in terms of betting offers as they are certain to lose cash on it.
George Groves v Andrea Di Luisa Betting Preview, Saturday 30th January 2016
George Groves went down to a split-decision defeat in September to Badou Jack and this fight is his first step back in his quest to get into contention for belts. Aged 27, he still have plenty of boxing ahead of him and his team were looking for an easy bout to get The Saint back into the swing of things.
They’ve certainly found that in the form of 33-year-old Di Luisa who, frankly, is just not in the same league as Groves in terms of athleticism, movement around the ring, power or sheer boxing skill. It is not a matter of IF Groves will win this one, but rather HOW QUICKLY it will all be over.
The bookies’ odds suggest a win for Groves in the 3rd, 4th or 5th round and we’d certainly go along with that. Groves will, of course, want to have something of a workout to make sure he’s up to pace, and so he might not finish things as early as he can, but a 4th round victory would be no surprise at all (available to back at 7/1 with Ladbrokes).
Overall though, the best bet possible for this bout is this simply fantastic enhanced offer from Betfair – so if you don’t already have a betting account with them, get hold of £35 in free bets for splashing out just a fiver right now or check out our Frampton v Quigg offers!
