New customers to Betfair are in for a free bet feast: you will not only get the standard Bet £10, Get £30 in free bets offer, but you will then get not one, not two but THREE free bets of up to £25 each if you manage to back a winner at betting odds of 3/1 or greater on Day One of the Cheltenham Festival.
Betfair Cheltenham Festival Offer: How to Claim
There are now quite a few Cheltenham Festival bookie offers popping up for the great meeting that runs from 15th to 18th March 2016, and indeed plenty of free bet offers to help you skew the odds in your favour.
For this offer from Betfair, you simply need to visit the bookie and place your first bet with them (on any sport, it doesn’t have to be racing) at minimum betting odds of 1/5 (or 1.2 in decimal odds if you prefer). Then you’ll be credited with 3x £10 free bet tokens, again to use on any sport.
For the additional three free bets, you need to place a single bet on any race on the opening day of the 2016 Cheltenham Festival (i.e. Tuesday 15th March 2016), and then if you pick out a winner at odds of 3/1 or greater (that’s the starting price rather than the price you take, by the way) you’ll be credited with three free bets within two hours.
Each of the additional free bets will be equal to your winning stake, up to a maximum of £25 each. Meaning that you can earn yourself a total of £105 in free bets including the initial £30 in free bets when you join Betfair!
Picking a 3/1+ Winner on Day One of the Cheltenham Festival – Tuesday 15th March 2015
Of course, making the most of this offer from Betfair is reliant on you being able to pick out a winner on the opening day of the Festival that has a starting price of 3/1 or greater. That is clearly easier said than done, but there are plenty of contenders.
For instance, while Annie Power is the strong favourite for the Champion Hurdle now that stablemate Faugheen has been withdrawn, she hasn’t had it all her own way at Cheltenham in recent times, falling when ahead in the Mares’ Hurdle last year and getting beaten in the World Hurdle in 2014. As such, backing either Identity Thief or Nichols Canyon at 9/2 and 5/1 respectively.
We also like the look of Yorkhill in the opening race of the day, the Supreme Novices’ Hurdle. Having looked very impressive when winning his four rules races, odds of around 7/1 look very big indeed.
The Arkle looks less likely to give us our required 3/1 winner with Douvan looking nailed on for glory, though we wouldn’t be surprised to see 6/1 shot Polly Peachum get the better of Vroom Vroom Mag in the Mares’ Hurdle.
In short, there are plenty of chances to nail that 3/1 on day one of the Festival, so get over to Betfair, open your betting account and get checking the stats to make sure you pick your horses wisely!
