Chelsea v Tottenham Tips and Betting Offers, Saturday 26th November 2016, Stamford Bridge, Kick off: 17:30

League leaders Chelsea face a tough test this weekend, as Tottenham make the trip across London. Can they claim three points to keep their place at the top, or will the visitors cut the four point gap which currently separates them? Spurs have a terrible record at Stamford Bridge, they couldn’t even end that last term while the Blues were struggling and they were pushing for the title.

Chelsea v Tottenham Betting Tips

Chelsea are aiming to prolong their stay at the top of the Premier League. The lead has been changing hands frequently, and they’ll be hoping to avoid dropping down the table. The Blues are priced at 3/4 with SkyBet to take maximum points on Saturday evening. Spurs are 18/5 to win here with Betfair, while the draw is 27/10 with Coral. Can the visitors continue their unbeaten record in this difficult clash?

Last weekend’s game for Tottenham suggests that they could struggle here. When you look at their display against West Ham, they seemed to struggle against the 3-4-3 formation that Slaven Bilic used. Of course, Antonio Conte has his Chelsea side lining up in a similar style. Could Spurs have found a way to beat it?

It was Bilic’s changes which seemed to tip the game at White Hart Lane, with Spurs scoring twice late on to win 3-2. If that formation was difficult for them to face, then they’ll have a tough time against a Chelsea side who are executing the 3-4-3 to perfection so far. They’re a machine at the minute, ruthlessly smashing through the league. That doesn’t bode well for the next visitors to Stamford Bridge.

Betting Verdict

Chelsea have been improving at the Bridge, their last three games here have seen them win 3-0, 4-0 then 5-0. That’s 12 goals in just three matches, which is impressive for anyone’s standards. With Diego Costa in excellent form and their formation causing plenty of problems, there should be more goals to come Toby Alderweireld is expected to miss out for Spurs once again here, they looked lost without him against West Ham. That’s why we’re backing over 1.5 goals for the Blues, which is 8/11 with Coral.

Chelsea aren’t just scoring goals; they’re defending brilliantly too. They’ve won six straight matches without conceding in the league. That’s only been beaten four times in Premier League history. We’re backing that run to continue here, because Spurs have looked short of goals for months. Outside of Kane, they lack a real goal scorer. With the Blues defending so well of late, we think a home win to nil is great value at 85/40 with BetVictor.
