FA Cup Betting Offers, Enhanced Odds, Tips and Free Bets – 2017-18 Season

Some people say the Emirates FA Cup has lost its gloss, others believe the magic is still alive and kicking. Whatever people think, the FA Cup final remains a spectacle, which all clubs want to win.

Last season, Arsene Wenger’s Arsenal lifted the crown, becoming the record FA Cup winners in the process. The Gunners, who won their 13th FA Cup, sealed their third in four years. Although they were the underdogs against Antonio Conte’s Chelsea, who had just won the Premier League title, Wenger’s boys were superb, fully deserving their 2-1 win.

FA Cup 2017-18 Betting Tips – 5th Round

With holders Arsenal getting booted out of the competition in the 3rd round by Nottingham Forest and Liveprool going down at Anfield to West Brom in the 4th round, there looks to be a four-way battle for the FA Cup this season. Man City, Man United, Chelsea and Tottenham are the only four sides left in priced at odds of less than 10/1 with the bookies.

They are followed by Leicester, who could be a decent dark horse choice at 14/1, then fellow top flight sides Southampton (33/1), Brighton (50/1), West Brom (50/1), Swansea (100/1) and Huddersfield (100/1).

Looking at the draw for the 5th round, Leicester and Chelsea look well-placed with home draws against Sheff United and Hull City respectively.

As for Manchester City, they were knocked out at the semi-final stage by Arsenal last term. However, they seemed to grow stronger and stronger as the tournament gathered pace, becoming most people’s favourites to lift the trophy. Despite dominating for large parts against the Gunners at Wembley, City came up short in the end. This season has to be a big one for Pep, so winning the FA Cup could be high on their to-do list. They should get through their trip to Wigan unscathed and are probably worthy favourites to go all the way this term.

The 2016 winners, Manchester United, will be another side looking to add this year’s FA Cup to the trophy cabinet. United were nowhere near good enough to mount a title challenge last year, and have fallen short again this time, but they did not disappoint in the cups. In his first season in charge, Jose Mourinho inspired the Red Devils to the FA Community Shied, the EFL Cup and the Europa League. The 12-time FA Cup winners face Huddersfield or Birmingham in the 5th round and though either would be tricky, we fancy Mourinho’s men to prevail.

We also expect the likes of Tottenham Hotspur, and though they were taken to a replay by minnows Newport County, we think if they make it to the semis, their familiarity with Wembley will pay dividends and they look very good value at 11/2.
