Stoke v Everton – The Draw – 11/5
Everton picked up a solid 2-0 win over Brighton last time out but it’s their away form that has caused Toffees fans most concern. Sam Allardyce seems content to defend in numbers and offer very little attacking threat away from Goodison Park. Dull as that approach may be, it could be enough to secure a positive result against Stoke.
The Potters continue to look destined for the drop even if Paul Lambert is making small improvements to the team. It’s seven games without a win for Stoke and while they should be able to avoid defeat against Everton, a point won’t do their relegation battle much good.
Bournemouth v West Brom – Over 2.5 Goals – 19/20
After putting together a run of form that was good enough for Eddie Howe to win the manager of the month award for February, Bournemouth’s form has tailed off lately. The Cherries are in no real danger of relegation but Howe badly wants his team to end a challenging season on a high.
Bournemouth should have little problem beating Championship bound West Brom but will have to score at least two to do so given their recent problems in defence. Expect goals at the Vitality Stadium.
Swansea v Tottenham – Tottenham to Win and Both Teams to Score – 5/2
Swansea have played some very good football since Carlos Carvalhal replaced Paul Clement. It’s almost as if the new manager has returned the club to the sort of attacking, easy on the eye football for which they became known following their promotion to the Premier League.
With relegation fears eased somewhat, Swansea can afford to give their all to Saturday’s FA Cup tie with Tottenham. On the back of some very solid home form, Swansea should score but it’s Spurs who are the most likely winners at the Liberty Stadium.
The FA Cup is now Tottenham’s last chance of winning silverware this season. That extra motivation coupled with their undoubted quality should see Spurs through to the semi final.
Leicester v Chelsea – Over 2.5 Goals – 20/23
Chelsea can count themselves a little unlucky with the manner of their defeat against Barcelona on Wednesday night. Antonio Conte’s men played well in most of the pitch but were let down by some poor play in either penalty area.
The Blues will now turn their attentions to the FA Cup and their match against Leicester. Although Chelsea have a decent recent record against the Foxes, Leicester secured a draw at Stamford Bridge earlier in the season and will fancy their chances of getting at this Chelsea defence. In a game which could go either way, make sure to have a bet on over 2.5 goals.
