Grand National 2019 Betting Offers, Free Bets, Enhanced Each Way Places and Money Back Offers, Aintree on Saturday 6th April 2019
The Grand National is quite simply the most popular horse race in the world when it comes to the general public, and it is one of the most challenging for the horses and jockeys who attempt to complete it around the famous Aintree course.
Run over a distance of over four miles and two and a half furlongs and with 30 obstacles to negotiate over the two laps of the famous course, this is certainly not one for the faint of heart.
Of course, with 40 runners and plenty of thrills and spills, it is a really tough race to predict and hence to win money from betting on it. But the good news is that many of our partner bookmakers are making things just a little bit easier for you by offering a host of special offers including free bets, enhanced odds offers and enhanced places on each way bets.

Who will win the Grand National on Saturday 6th April 2019?
Picking the winner of the Grand National is notoriously difficult, and yet the allure of this famous old race (which was first run in 1839) is as great as ever for the occasional punters from around the world, but especially in the UK.
Grand National Tips and Betting Offers, Saturday 6th April, Aintree, Kick off: 5:15pm
It’s Grand National time once again, bringing together knowledgeable and novice racing fans. It’s the busiest day of the year of the bookies, who are fearing the force of Tiger Roll. Even after his odds have been slashed, the favourite is still a huge threat to the pockets of the bookies. However, where is the value for punters? We’re looking at the National line-up, providing predictions and betting tips for the biggest race of the year.
Grand National Betting Tips
- Anibale Fly at 14/1 with Betfair
- Pairofbrowneyes at 25/1 with bet365
For the first time in years, we see a genuine favourite sticking out of the field in this race. Defending champion Tiger Roll comes into this year’s race streets ahead of the rest of the field, which gives this edition a very different dynamic. However, does that mean that we should all be settling with the favourite? The bookies won’t want that, but that doesn’t automatically make it a good idea.
The form behind Tiger Roll makes him seem like a terrifying force. Backing against him does feel like a risk. He’s a 7/2 shot with Ladbrokes, while his price is set to be cut even further before the start – but that concerns us. The last time this race was won by a horse which started shorter than 5/1 was 1919. It’s not just a packed field he’s going against, it’s history which the favourite needs to beat here. That makes wary about going in on the frontrunner, especially in a race which tends to reward the outsiders.
Backing a short odds favourite in the National is a huge risk, especially for those who are enjoying their only bet of the year. If you want to make your stake go further, there are other contenders who represent much better value. That includes Anibale Fly, who has the advance of being saddled by Ruby Walsh – the most successful jockey at the National. A couple of strong runs in 2019 have pushed him to the forefront, while he’s at the perfect price at 14/1 with Betfair. Double odds winners are frequent at Aintree’s big race, while Anibale Fly has the stamina to stay in contention.
Our second pick is Pairofbrowneyes, a 25/1 chance with bet365. The 10-year-old is basically on his last chance in this one, but he comes here with strong hurdle experience and a decent recent record. Trainer Willie Mullins put him in at Naas last month with an eye on this race, and it could pay off in a big success for the outsider. He’s certainly a candidate for an each-way finish this weekend, while Mullins’ could be on to a winner. Given the price, we see Pairofbrowneyes to be a great value pick at Aintree.
