Join Ladbrokes and back England to qualify against Colombia at 50/1 with BIG enhanced odds offer
England v Colombia is the last Round of 16 game at the 2018 World Cup. Join Ladbrokes and you can back England to qualify at enhanced odds of 50/1 with this cracking offer.
England are favourites in the match odds and are available at just 8/15 to make the quarters. Ladbrokes boosting the Three Lions from 8/15 to 50/1 means you’re getting around 100 times the non-enhanced odds.
That’s brilliant value, especially given James Rodriguez is going to be half-fit at best. Without him at 100% – and there remains a chance he won’t feature at all – Colombia are far less potent. With the Three Lions fit and rested they have a brilliant chance to make the quarter finals.
50/1 is simply a huge, huge price and Ladbrokes will even give you a £5 free bet if England don’t qualify. Click the button below to claim this offer or how about Coral’s 50/1 Kane offer instead?

Colombia v England Preview, Tuesday 3 July, Otkrytiye Arena, Kick off: 19:00
Gareth Southgate was having none of the debate about whether it was better for England to finish first or second in Group G. The England manager said he just wanted his team to keep winning matches ahead of their meeting with Belgium but then went and made wholesale changes to his team. Shorn of their best players, England were disappointing against Belgium but have a good chance to get back to their best in the round of 16 against a Colombia team who haven’t done anything so far to unduly worry Southgate and his players.
Colombia: Misfiring or Growing into the World Cup?
Colombia can count themselves rather lucky to have won Group H. They were under the cosh for most of the first half against Senegal and it looked as though they were going to miss out on a place in the Round of 16. Thankfully for their fans, Colombia snuck a goal while Japan and Poland killed their final game to allow Jose Pekerman’s team to progress as group winners.
There is no doubt that Colombia have some very talented individuals and there are no suggestions that there is anything amiss in the camp. However, they’ve really struggled to pull performances together on the pitch so England will be fancying their chances. James Rodriguez should feature but he hasn’t looked fully fit in any of his side’s games and we don’t think he will be here. Despite the positive noises coming from the Colombia camp, we suspect he may not even play but time will tell.
Of course, the problem that England have is that they have not won a knockout match at either the World Cup or European Championships for 12 years. While some England fans are plotting a potential route to the final, Southgate understands the magnitude and challenge of this game.
Alongside his backroom staff he’ll need to come up with a rock solid plan of limiting Colombia’s attacking intent while getting the most out of his best players. If England can show the sort of battling spirit evident against Tunisia and the attacking flair they displayed against Panama, they should book their place in the quarter finals.
Relevant Stats, Injuries and Suspensions
The big news ahead of this match is the fitness of James Rodriguez. Colombia’s talisman four years ago, Rodriguez has only featured fleetingly in Russia due to a calf problem and he was taken off during the first half against Senegal. Colombia are a very different prospect with Rodriguez in the team so England will be hopeful he is unable to feature.
England can take heart from the fact that they have never lost to Colombia. Their five previous meetings have provided three wins and two draws. What’s more, England have no real injury concerns, with Dele Alli reportedly fully fit.
Colombia v England Tips
Group H looked one of the most competitive on paper and there was a feeling among England fans that it didn’t really matter which side the Three Lions were paired with in the Round of 16. Certainly, Colombia have done very little to suggest they are too strong for England so it’s down to Southgate’s men to step up to the plate and perform.
England are the favourites with the bookies for good reason and look decent value to win the match inside 90 minutes at 11/10 with BetVictor. The attacking threat posed by Colombia means England may need at least two goals to win so a bet on over 2.5 goals is sensible at huge odds of 6/4 with Coral.
