Burnley v Everton – Under 1.5 Goals – 8/5

You couldn’t describe Burnley or Everton as being among the Premier League’s entertainers. The Clarets have managed just 22 goals from their 28 games while Everton have scored just two goals in their last five away matches.

This may be the first Premier League match of the weekend but it would be no surprise if it ended up being last on Match of the Day. Both Sean Dyche and Sam Allardyce approach matches with the express intent of first and foremost ensuring they don’t lose.

The two managers may well get their wish but if either team do secure the win, it’s likely to be by just the odd goal.

Swansea v West Ham – The Draw – 21/10

After putting a good run of results together, West Ham have lost two of their last three. That’s dragged David Moyes’ team right back into the relegation mix. The Irons may not be in quite as much trouble as Swansea but such is the nature of the Premier League’s bottom half that you can call their trip to the Liberty Stadium a genuine relegation six pointer.

Swansea saw their 10 game unbeaten run in all competitions under Carlos Carvalhal come to an abrupt end at Brighton last weekend. That result kept them in the relegation zone and it may be a struggle for them to break free of it against West Ham.

The Swans are the narrow favourites but West Ham should have enough about them to secure a point.

Watford v West Brom – Watford to Win – 11/10

At the time of Marco Silva’s sacking there was a real chance that Watford would be dragged into the relegation mix. Although Javi Gracia has had an up and down start to life at Vicarage Road, he does look to have guided the Hornets away from immediate danger.

The management change at West Brom has been rather less successful. You can now add reports of scraps between Alan Pardew and key West Brom players to the long list of problems at the club as they slide ever closer to the relegation trap door.

Nothing is going right for West Brom and it’s not going to get any better at Vicarage Road where Watford should win their third home game on the spin.

Man City v Chelsea – Man City to Win and Over 2.5 Goals – 13/10

Chelsea had a tough time of it in Manchester last weekend losing against Man Utd and are set to face the same fate against Man City on Sunday. The Citizens are flying after their EFL Cup win and won’t be concerned about their upcoming Champions League match given that they’re already 4-0 up against Basel.

Antonio Conte’s team should be competitive at the Etihad and may well get on the scoresheet. However, the home side are the fairest of favourites and should pick up three points in a good game for the neutrals.
