How to Use the Coral Free Bet – April 2018
The Premier League football season is motoring along and it’s just a matter of time until City win the title. It’s looking very much like ending City, United, Liverpool, Spurs but there are still some huge games to bet on and massive issues to be decided.
The battle for relegation looks set to go all the way, with only WBA looking doomed at this stage. There are also fascinating battles at both ends of the table in the Championship too, not to mention Leagues 1 and 2.
The Europa League and Champions League are really heating up and there are loads of huge games this month as teams look to book their spot in the semis. Can City come back to beat Liverpool in the CL and can either of them go all the way? Can Arsenal win the Europa League?
With a fascinating battle for the title in Italy, as well as plenty of important games in France, Germany and the other top European and world leagues, we certainly aren’t sure of top football to bet on.
Back to the domestic action, we still have the FA Cup to savour this month. There are two facinating semis in store, with Spurs v Man United the one most neutrals will be excited about.
Of course, the draw for the 2018 World Cup in Russia has now been made and it’s never to early to start planning your bets for that!
Football really is great for this Coral free bet offer. You can place your qualifying £5 bet on a long odds correct score option, or perhaps a first goalscorer bet and then play it safe with your £20 free bets. Or, alternatively, go for glory and do the opposite.
Perhaps choose a banker match result or over 1.5 goals wager with the £5 qualifying bet. Then go for a correct score or even a scorecast for the four £5 free bets (they are free after all) and really try and land a big win – or four!
Not Just Football Betting
Sports fans will also be eager to lap up the horse racing action too. In horse racing, the Flat season is slowly but surely easing into life. However, the National Hunt campaign is also ticking over nicely so there is loads of racing whatever you love right now. The biggest event this month for most people is undoubtedly the Grand National and that is sure to offer loads of great each way betting options.
Coral are a top class bookie when it comes to betting on the horses, with their Bet £5, Get £20 Free Bet offer just the start. They also offer best odds guaranteed as well as plenty of enhanced odds offers for new customers and the brilliant Fallers money back insurance promo.
Golf is a global, 12-months-a-year sport. Whilst there has been a little time off around Christmas, regular action is now very much here and Patrick Reed landed the first major, the Masters. We’ve also had the first WGC events of the year and the great golf keeps on coming. 2018 is a Ryder Cup year of course, and so players will be set on Ryder Cup qualification ahead of September’s Paris showdown.
Tennis fans have now got a bit of a wait until the next Slam, following the Australian Open at the start of the year. Federer and Wozniacki were victorious in Melbourne and there is loads and loads of amazing tennis to see us through to the French. We have Davis Cup action, the ATP Houston and loads more this month!
There are also pretty much always some big boxing bouts to savour, as well as plenty of UFC and MMA fights. There are a few big fights in April, including Amir Khan’s return. We’ll also hopefully hear about AJ’s next fight soon enough.
Rugby union is also back on the sporting calendar, with the club season well underway. Rugby League is starting to work work its way towards the midway point in the campaign too, with the table starting to take shape now.
And of course there is still some cricket too, with various games from around the globe, including the IPL which started this month. Thankfully England’s tour is over! But domestic cricket will be on the agenda before too long, and then before too long Pakistan and India will come to visit.
As if that wasn’t enough we’ve also got F1 back on a regular basis. 2018 was supposed to be all about Hamilton and Mercedes but Vettel has won the opening two races. Can the Brit strike back in China or Azerbaijan this month?
Whatever sport you want to bet on, the Coral free bet is a nice way to gain a good-sized bonus with a very low risk. Again, you can play it safe with the free bet to try and get the £20 free bets and also make a small profit: or you can go for glory with the insurance of a 400% free bet still to come – take your pick!
As said, this 400% offer really is amazing value and with so many brilliant options for your betting this month, the hardest decision might be where to place your qualifying £5 bet… and then what to do with your £20 Coral freebie!
Coral Enhanced Odds Offers
As well as the brilliant 400% free bet that means you get a £20 free bet for just a £5 paid bet, Coral also frequently give new customers the chance to claim huge enhanced odds offers instead. These offers usually apply to big football matches but occasionally other sporting events too, such as horse racing. Coral sometimes are so generous as to offer enhanced odds of 50/1 or more.
They work by giving you a huge price boost on your first bet! It’s easy to see why such offers have proved a huge hit and depending on your approach to risk you may prefer this to the guaranteed £20 free bet.
These price boosts are really good as even if you lose you still get you stake refunded as a free bet so, whilst the Bet £5, Get £20 Free Coral offer is undoubtedly brilliant, some people prefer the enhanced odds. The choice is yours really and it just depends on whether you’d prefer massive odds or a guaranteed free bet.
You can check out some of the regular Coral enhanced odds offers below. These will be updated as and when new promotions appear.
For the hardcore betting anorak who wants to know all there is to know before they join a new bookie, here we have a brief history of Coral.
UK punters will be very familiar with Coral from their presence on the high street. Coral are one of the original UK bookmakers and also one of the oldest. Whilst these days, most bettors’ only interaction with Coral is on their mobile, things were very different in the past.
Joe Coral, after whom the betting site takes its name, began taking bets almost 100 years ago. Back in 1926, when Princess Elizabeth Alexandra Mary Windsor (you might know her as the Queen!) was born, he started accepting off-course sports bets. This wasn’t strictly legal at the time but hey, it was a long time ago and Joe was a visionary so it’s all good.
Along with a business partner they also ran pitches at racecourses and speedway meetings. It wasn’t until the 1960s that things really began to take shape though. When UK law changed at this time, to make betting shops legal, Joe acted quickly and opened his first shop in 1961.
This was a big success and he opened more, also using mergers with other betting shops to grow very quickly. Throughout the 60s, 70s and 80s the business continued to grow and also expanded into other areas.
There were various changes of ownership and structure but the core of the betting business remained the same. Brewing company Bass owned the business at this time and various buyouts of other businesses in the same gambling niche saw Coral continue to grow.
Over the years the business has included various casinos, bingo halls and other leisure facilities. Over the past 10 years or so most of these have been sold, although in Europe Coral have continued to operate under the Eurobet brand.
Online betting has become a larger and larger part of what Coral do and how they operate but the biggest change, aside from the growth of online betting, came in 2016. After much speculation the Competition and Markets Authority agreed to the merger of Coral and Ladbrokes.
This created the huge betting company, Ladbrokes Coral Group. In 2017, rival betting company, GVC, agreed to buy Ladbrokes Coral. GVC own a range of online betting sites, including Bwin and Foxy Bingo. At the time of writing the agreed deal is still being finalised.
One thing is certain though, with the pooling of so many resources and so much betting experience and know-how, Coral is undoubtedly a first class bookmaker. They are a brand with history, expertise and deep pockets. This means they can be trusted and also have the resources and capabilities to deliver exactly what the customer wants.
